What is Neurodivergent?
Neurodivergence is when someone's brain processes, learns or behaves differently from what is considered "typical", which can sometimes contribute to behavioral and/or emotional dysregulation.
However, scientists now understand that neurodivergence can be beneficial to society in that those diagnosed as such can exhibit unique strengths such as heightened focus on details, creative thinking, strong pattern recognition, offer different perspectives on problem-solving, innovation and more.

Some common forms of neurodivergence are ADHD, Dyslexia, OCD, Anxiety, Autism, Bi-polar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder, just to list a few.

Who We Serve
SKY is for Parents! SKY is a place where parents of school-aged children can come together to share experiences, find support from other parents who can relate to where you are in your journey, and become more informed on neurodivergence. After all, our primary goal as parents is to guide and uplift our children to achieve their full potential to the best of our ability so the more information we have, the better we can support them, wouldn't you agree?
While we, as parents, recognize the extraordinary capabilities of our growing and ever-changing children, it can, at times, feel like we are navigating unchartered waters, in isolation. Wouldn't it be great if we could connect with other parents and share a variety of ideas about methods that have been effective? Or how someone has successfully (or sometimes unsuccessfully) managed a situation that may be similar to yours?
No matter where you are on the journey with your unique child, you belong here. Connection and community is so important, not only for our children, but for us, too!

In order to allow everyone to speak freely, children are not permitted at meetings. Thank you for understanding!
